Just putting shoes on shelves in a closet or dressing room is not the best option. Dust will still accumulate on leather and suede, you will have to clean them periodically and waste your time.

4. Put the hats in special boxes

If you are a fan of hats, not hats, do not neglect their proper storage. Leaving the hat on the top shelf is not the best option. Felt, wool or any other material gets dirty quickly and will need to be cleaned again before wearing next season. The same cardboard boxes you bought for the shoes will also be a good storage option for the hats.

5. Use usable space

The space under the bed or the top shelves in the closets, which are often not used due to inaccessibility, are places that can be used to their full potential, especially in small apartments. To avoid creating visual clutter, use special storage containers in closets and designer boxes/baskets for space under the bed. In such boxes you can put warm sweaters, scarves, hats.

If there is critically not enough space for storing winter clothes either in closets or under the bed, it’s time to fantasize. Find vintage suitcases or chests and put things in there — such storage systems can be used as decor in a room, not hidden.

It is much easier to place all the clothes at once than to gradually buy additional storage systems and fold everything again — this way you can lose valuable usable space.
